Shower screens come in several types: frameless, semi-frameless, framed, sliding, and hinged. Lecico’s frameless, wall-mounted shower screens are available in several different finishes, so you can choose from satin steel or black shower screens. All are crafted from toughened safety glass and stainless steel and meet strict SABS standards.

How to install a shower screen

Please follow these step-by-step instructions to install your shower screen safely and effectively.

Mark the glass panel position

Begin by marking the allocated position on the wall where the glass panel will be mounted.

 

Fit the wall fixation channel

Ensure the wall fixation channel is level and square to both the floor and the wall. Secure it in place.

 

Install the glass panel

Position the glass panel within the wall fixation channel for a secure fit.

Mark and install the floor block

Align the floor block with the glass panel to mark its position. Temporarily remove the glass and drill the floor to secure the floor block in place.

 

Install stabilising bar fittings

Attach the wall fittings for the stabilising bar to provide additional support.

Attach the stabilising bar to the glass

Line up the glass fitting for the stabilising bar so it sits at a 90-degree angle to the glass panel. This helps stabilise the glass in its upright position.

 

Secure the glass panel

Lock the glass into place with the screws provided. Fasten the floor block securely to ensure the screen stays in position.

 

Seal the bottom edge

Apply silicone sealant along the bottom edge of the shower screen. Allow the silicone to cure fully for 24 hours before using the shower.
