As the year winds down and the festive season comes into full swing, we’re taking a moment to reflect on an incredible 2024 here at Lecico. It’s been a year filled with growth, exciting projects, and meaningful connections – and none of it would have been possible without you, our amazing clients, partners, and team.

2024 in Review: Highlights and Milestones

So, grab a cuppa (or a festive drink of your choice) and let’s take a quick look back at what made this year so special, as well as the exciting plans we have lined up for 2025. 

Giveaway launches 

This year, the Tangerine Basin Giveaway brought excitement and engagement to our social media platforms. Throughout October, we announced a lucky winner every two weeks, creating buzz and rewarding our loyal followers.

Team interviews

Our team took centre stage this year through exclusive interviews that showcased the expertise and passion driving Lecico forward. 

We spoke to Jacky Rossouw (our Sales Director), Karl Geyer (Financial Director, Anne Vaudin (Commercial Manager), Liesl Theron (Warehouse Manager), and Saskia de Lange (Procurement Manager), for a behind-the-scenes look at the Lecico team culture, vision, values, and what excites each individual about their role in serving customers.

New product ranges

The launch of the Roxton and Amalphi ranges in 2024 marked a major milestone in product innovation. Inspired by timeless stone structures, the Roxton range combines Victorian charm with cutting-edge features like a fully glazed interior water trap, germ-resistant Vitreous China, and a 20-year manufacturer’s guarantee. 

The Amalphi range offers modern, practical solutions with powerful open-rim flushing and germ-resistant surfaces, making it ideal for both renovations and new builds. Both ranges have been met with resounding success, with the Roxton selling 35% of its stock within the first month!

Another notable launch was our furniture collection. We introduced customisable cabinets with vanity basins or stone tops, combining practicality with style. The cabinets come in various finishes, styles, and sizes, so they can suit any bathroom across residential, commercial, or industrial settings. 

Unprecedented numbers

Our achievements this year extended to unprecedented sales milestones. For the first time in 22 years, 41% of countertop basins were sold prior to their arrival, and we welcomed 32 new clients in just three months.

Giving back 

In addition to business success, we proudly gave back to the community on Mandela Day by dedicating 67 minutes to making sandwiches for Ladles of Love. The day was filled with singing, laughter, and a collective spirit of generosity as we worked together to make a difference.

Local events

At The Rock Building Event, we captivated attendees with a hands-on demonstration of our sleek concealed cisterns. Plumbers and industry professionals had the opportunity to see just how effortless installation can be, making this product the ultimate choice for achieving a flawless bathroom finish. The event was a fantastic platform to connect with industry professionals.

Meanwhile, at the Tshwane University of Technology, we inspired the next generation of architects by introducing them to our range of bathroom products. Our booth was a hub of energy and curiosity as students explored innovative designs that will shape their future projects. 

A message from Karl Geyer

Karl Geyer, our Financial Director, said it best: “I’d like to say a massive thank you to our team, our partners, and our customers. You make our work worthwhile and keep us moving forward.”

Karl goes on to highlight the major wins of 2024. What a year it’s been! From enhancing product availability to keeping things affordable for you, every decision we’ve made has been driven by your trust and support. Seeing Lecico grow into a name you can confidently rely on makes all the hard work worthwhile.

A message from Jacky Rossouw

Next up, Jacky Rossouw, our Sales Director, brought her trademark energy to the table. “It’s been quite a year!” she said. She’s not wrong. From launching new ranges to running giveaways that brought us closer to you, it’s been a whirlwind – in the best way possible.

Jacky loves to hear your feedback, and 2024 was no exception. Your input has helped us raise the bar and aim even higher for next year. And speaking of next year… keep an eye out for our brand-new website and refreshed branding. Jacky promises it’ll make your Lecico experience even better.

A message from Donald Scott 

Our Managing Director, Donald Scott, took a moment to reflect on everything we’ve achieved together. “What stands out most to me is the partnership and purpose we share with each of you,” he said.

2024 wasn’t without its challenges, but the sense of collaboration and shared vision made all the difference. Donald’s optimism for 2025 is infectious, and we’re thrilled to continue building on the strong foundation we’ve laid together.
